Visitor Information

The Museum of Yachting is located at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island.

Hours during the Summer 2011 Season: 

Open Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm, through October 1st.  

Admission:

$5 general admission. Free to members of the Museum of Yachting and IYRS.  Free for children under 18 and students (with valid student ID).  Group rates and tours available.  Tour buses welcome.

Directions: 

By Car:  South on Bellevue Avenue or Thames Street.  Follow signs to Fort Adams State Park.  Ample free parking.

By Water Taxi:  Newport Harbor Shuttle from America’s Cup Avenue, Sayer’s Wharf and IYRS.  Or call VHF Channel 68. By Bus:  From the Newport Visitor’s Center on America’s Cup Avenue.
