If you can't make it to the museum, here are a few panoramic photos of the workspace and environs to give you a feel for where we are. No two ways about it, the museum is situated on one of the most beautiful areas in Newport. The shop itself is located in a historic landmark building next to Fort Adams. Both of these photos are quite large, and clicking on them will take you to larger versions that would not fit comfortably in this space.

Looking out from the front of the museum.  Newport is across the harbor, and the Pell Bridge is off to the left on the horizon.

(Note:  click on each photo to be taken to the Flickr page where the photo is stored.  To see a larger version of the photo on that page, click the "All Sizes" button above the photo)

Our shop space, just getting started with a few workbenches off to the left and the body plan lofting floor just peeking out behind the brick support on the right.

And, yes, we'll be getting the boat out of this shop through the double doors to the left.  It's going to be quite an adventure... we'll turn the boat and move support posts as needed.  No worry, none of the posts are permanent, and we'll be using temporary posts to carry the load as we shift things around.
