Oar, Sail & Power: A Selection of American Small Craft for Work and Leisure

The Museum of Yachting has a long history of displaying small boats of many types that were used for pleasure. The last three seasons we suspended this tradition in order to offer our visitors a new experience through living exhibits that featured shipwrights and craftsmen building boats and restoring the schooner yacht Coronet's opulent interior. For the 2011 season, we will bring back an eclectic small boat exhibit featuring 20 boats propelled by wind, oar and power. Included in the exhibit will be an early Star Class racing yacht, runabouts, rowing shells, yacht tenders and racing dinghies among others that represent fine craftsmanship and the sporting life.
